Happy Birthday!

In 1959 the brothers D. & G. Moretti – among the pioneers of blow molding technology – established in Abbiategrasso (Milan, Italy) the company that was bound to become one of the most recognized manufacturer of blow molding machines in the world. The Moretti machines of the Seventies already included many technical solutions that later became the state-of-the-art in blow molding, such as the horizontal movement of the mold carriages in the continuous extrusion “shuttle” machines. In 1988 the family-owned company Moretti was acquired by the American corporate Johnson Controls, which brought the Uniloy name. In 1992, the company pioneered the 3-D technology and introduced the Sequential Coextrusion Process at K exhibition in Duesseldorf. In 1998 Uniloy became part of the Milacron Group, and in 2001 all Uniloy operations in Italy were moved into the new facility of Magenta, just few miles away from the Moretti birthplace. In 2009 Uniloy celebrates with pride the 50th year of innovative presence in the world of blow molding. The motto “Our future has deep roots” well express the consciousness of a technology built up through five decades of successful challenges, but also the unchanged attitude to respond to customers’ requirements.
