Uniloy® Announces Acquisition of Century Die Company, LLC (Fremont, OH); Bolstering Mold Making Capabilities, On-Time Delivery, and Product Offerings

(Tecumseh, MI – February 16th, 2022) – Uniloy Inc., a leading blow molding machine and mold technology company serving the global plastics processing industry, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Century Die Company, LLC of Fremont, Ohio.
With the Century Die Company acquisition, Uniloy gains Century’s 70+ years of expertise and a proven record of manufacturing blow molds for wheel, shuttle, reciprocating screw, injection stretch, injection blow, and industrial, as well as mold repairs and refurbishments and tooling for bottle handling. Century Die Company is highly regarded with American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) wins in 2017 for Educational efforts, and in 2019 they were awarded the Tooling Trailblazer Award, again for their work with the next generation of mold makers.
As a leader in the manufacture of molds for the blow molding industry for over 60 years, Uniloy’s current mold offerings include molds for their industry-leading reciprocating screw machines, as well as shuttle PET molds and mold repairs, and refurbishments. With the acquisition, Uniloy’s mold capabilities will be dramatically increased. The new mold lineup will be the most comprehensive in blow molding.

Century Die Company has 65 employees at their 25,000 square foot, Fremont, OH manufacturing facility. Uniloy plans to keep all existing operations currently at the Fremont location and bring all employees into the Uniloy team and brand, creating the industry’s most capable mold manufacturer in blow molding. Mold manufacturing will also continue at Uniloy’s Tecumseh, MI headquarters.

The transaction closed on February 15, 2022.
